We need your urgent help today. As you all may know, our AAPI Nominees are now beginning their confirmation process. Neera Tanden is the nominee for Director of Office of Management and Budget. When confirmed, she will be the FIRST AAPI Woman to serve in that very important and powerful Cabinet Level position. You may have heard late last week that Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia had indicated a NO vote. In a razor thin majority, we need every vote. We very urgently need you to do two things to support Neera’s nomination—there is time urgency because the Confirmation hearing is scheduled for Wednesday Feb 24:
Email/calls from West Virginians to Sen. Manchin. The Ask is to have the Senator change his vote from a NO to a Yes to CONFIRM NEERA TANDEN FOR DIRECTOR OF OMB. The Ask is to have the Senators VOTE YES to CONFIRM NEERA TANDEN FOR DIRECTOR OF OMB.
