Information & Resources on Anti-Asian Discrimination
Over the past few years with the COVID-19 pandemic and anti-Asian rhetoric being spread from the former president to our communities around the nation, AAPIs have seen a marked increase in racist incidents ranging from verbal harassment & slurs to violent acts resulting in numerous deaths.
The tragic spa shootings in Atlanta on March 16, which resulted in 8 deaths, 6 of which were women of Asian descent, underscores the urgency we face in combatting harmful perceptions of Asians in America.
Over the past few years
While anti-Asian racism isn't new, mainstream media has finally taken notice and social media provides a broad platform for increasing awareness and encouraging discussion, learning and dismantling the structures that allow this type of bias to perpetuate.
This page offers links to articles, stories, news reports and resources to inform you about this important topic. It also provides ways to take action and be an ally in our fight against racism, hate and violence.
